Nothing screams “me time” like snuggling up on the couch with some hot chocolate and a comfortable blanket and watching some classic holiday movies. Not sure which one to start watching? Would you love to get a good laugh? No problem. You want to hug the tissue box and wallow in self-pity? I’m here for you!
All I Want for Christmas is a MOVIE MARATHON: Find Out if Your Favorite Made the Cut!
I’ve spent a significant amount of my time and energy watching movies...multiple times. I rated my favorite movies from 10 (least favorite- but still a favorite) to 1 (my favorite holiday movie). If a movie evokes an emotion from me (tears, laughter, etc.) or I’m consistently quoting lines from it, then I consider it a winner. The more emojis next to the title, the more emotions there are while watching each movie. I included my favorite quote from each one as well (without divulging too much of course!).
#10: “Fred Claus” 😂
"You're blessed to have that kid in your life. You're going to be athletic, you're going to be a moderate to lukewarm student, and you're gonna have a child before you graduate college. And who are you going to have to thank for all that? Not the big guy in the red suit, but your pal Fred.”
#9: “Eight Crazy Nights” 😂😭
"All you people can bite my germ-free booty!”
#8: “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” 😂😂
"Howdy do. This is Peter McCallister, the father. I’d like a hotel room please, with an extra large bed, a TV, and one of those little refrigerators you have to open with a key. Credit card? You got it.”
#7: “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” 😂😂
"Would it be indecent to ask the grandparents to stay at a hotel?”
#6: “It’s a Wonderful Life” 😭😭
"Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings.”
#5: “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” 😭😭
"A toy is never truly happy until it is loved by a child.”
#4: “The Family Stone” 😭😭😭
"I’d hate to see you miss out on something because you have this picture in your mind or you thought you can change something you can’t. I hate to see you not find what you really want.
#3: “Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” (2000) 😂😂😂😂
"Kids today. So desensitized by movies and television.”
#2: “Home Alone” 😂😂😂
"A lovely cheese pizza just for me.”
#1: “Miracle on 34th Street” (1994) 😭😭😭😭😭
"We invite you to ask yourself this one simple question: Do you believe in Santa Claus?”
