Alyssa was born and raised in New Rochelle, NY. She attended the Pennsylvania State University where she majored in Secondary Education: English & Communications. After college, she taught high school English and coached varsity volleyball in her hometown for seven and a half years. She also attended Long Island University, where she obtained her Masters in Literacy: Birth - grade 12.

She met her husband Dennis in college, and they married in 2015. In June of 2018, they had their first child, Aubrey. In fall of 2021, they welcomed their second child, Zoey, and in the fall of 2023, they welcomed their third child, Molly.

In April 2024, Alyssa became the proud co-franchise owner of Fit4Mom Ann Arbor. Now, she is dedicated to empowering and supporting other moms by fostering a welcoming and uplifting space where fitness and connection come together.
