Kate was born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI. She attended Eastern Michigan University where she earned a BA in Elementary Education. She has been working in the Ann Arbor Public Schools in different positions since 2014. She is currently a Teacher Consultant in two of the elementary schools.

When Kate was 17, she worked at Banana Republic at Briarwood Mall. She would often see the Stroller Strides moms working out and aspired to join the village one day. When her first child, Benjamin, was born in 2019, Kate finally got to live out her dream and began attending Fit4Mom classes regularly. The pandemic made things a little tricky, but Kate went through 3 rounds of Body Well and continued to attend other classes virtually. Eventually, during maternity leave with her second child, Mary, Kate stepped up to take over the social media work for Fit4Mom. She’s enjoyed learning a new skill and giving back to a community that has given so much to her. Over the summer, Kate began instructing Stroller Barre and you can catch her on Saturday mornings in class for now!
